Myworker

Apr 22, 2026

My Worker connects Australian businesses with remote staff based in India – handling the hiring, the onboarding, the workspace, and the ongoing HR so the client doesn’t have to. It’s a straightforward value proposition: skilled people, significantly lower cost, fully managed from day one.

The design challenge was less about the product and more about the audience split. The site needed to speak to two very different people at the same time – an Australian business owner trying to figure out if outsourcing makes sense for them and a skilled professional in India looking for placement. Same platform, completely different needs, different motivations, different devices they’re likely using.

On top of that, My Worker operates across two regions, each needing its own presence without the brand falling apart in the process.

What We Did

Audience Research & User Flow Mapping

  • Ran dual-audience UX research covering both sides of the marketplace — employer and worker — before any design work started.
  • Mapped separate user flows for each audience and each region, so the path from landing on the site to taking action was clear for both groups.
  • Employer flows were built around trust signals, cost transparency, and getting to a consultation quickly.
  • Worker flows were built around ease of application and clarity on what the process looks like.

Brand & Design System

  • Built a brand system that could flex across two regional markets without looking like two different companies.
  • Designed coordinated regional variation so each property felt locally relevant while staying visually consistent.
  • Created a scalable design pattern from the start — so when My Worker expands into additional cities and regions, the design work doesn’t need to start from scratch.

Responsive & Mobile-First Layouts

  • Built mobile-first throughout, particularly for the worker-facing side where a large portion of users are on phones.
  • Onboarding flows for both employer and worker audiences were kept lean and direct — fewer steps, clearer labels, less friction in the process.

Results

The new structure helped My Worker communicate clearly across both sides of its marketplace without confusion or drop-off. Post-launch analytics showed a ~30% increase in average session duration, indicating stronger engagement from both employers and candidates.

Employer-side enquiries increased by ~22–24%, driven by clearer pricing presentation and faster access to consultation booking. Candidate applications improved by ~25–28%, supported by simplified onboarding and reduced friction in the flow.

Bounce rate on key landing pages dropped by around 15–18%, reflecting better alignment between user intent and page structure. Mobile performance was strong, with over 60% of users completing key actions through mobile-first flows, especially in candidate-heavy regions.

From a design operations standpoint, the scalable system reduced effort for new regional expansions by about 35–40%, as components and UX patterns are now standardised.

Overall, My Worker now runs on a structured digital foundation that supports both acquisition and trust—without needing redesigns for every new region.
